Holding Lincoln Electric has announced that its subsidiary in Asia, Lincoln Asia Pacific has signed a definitive agreement to acquire 100% strength control of Jinzhou Jin Tai Welding and Metal Co., Ltd. (" Jin Tai "), a manufacturer of welding products from Jinzhou, China. Currently, Lincoln Asia Pacific owns 48% Jin Tai, the remaining 52% owned by Kuang Tai Metal Industrial Co., Ltd. (" Kuang Tai "). By convention Lincoln Asia Pacific receives the rest in exchange for a sum of about U.S. $ 58 million and 35% interest in Kuang Tai. The deal is scheduled for completion July 1, 2009.
