General requirements for safety during welding operations are regulated by GOST 12.3.003-86 "electric welding works. Safety requirements "as well as standards of GOST 12.1.004-85, GOST 12.1.010-76, GOST 12.3.002-75.

Among the dangerous and harmful factors in welding include:
  • dangerous levels of voltage in an electrical circuit,
  • Increased dust and gas air of working zone,
  • high temperature arc and materials
