Flux Equipment
When automatic arc welding, submerged arc flux filling operations appear in the weld prior to welding and cleaning it at the end of welding, as the slag crust is melted only about 20% of the buried flux, the remainder can be used repeatedly. Manual feeding and cleaning of flux time-consuming and therefore not acceptable in today's highly mechanized automated installations. To harvest unmelted flux are established pneumatic-workers - flux is sucked into the hose flux, which creates a vacuum.
Flux equipment can work on individual vacuum pump with drive motor, or from the factory compressed air, resulting in the effect of ejector flux equipment. At the present time in our industry is almost exclusively used a very simple in design and reliable in flyusoapparaty operating on compressed air.
Flux basis of this type is an air ejector. Under the action of a jet of compressed air from the ejector nozzle at high speed in a vacuum chamber of the ejector of a few hundred millimeters of water column, through which the flux is sucked with the suction chamber in the various outdoor air. The device flux equipment mixed action that allows you to simultaneously suck and cover flux and carry out its continuous circulation is shown in Fig. 88. Compressed air enters the network at high speed into the chamber through an ejector nozzle 2 and creates a negative pressure in the hose 3, the suction flux to the outside air through a sucker 4. Air velocity in the suction side is chosen in such a way (- 20 m / sec), the particle flux that are in suspension and move together with a jet of air. In a chamber of ejector sucked particle flux picked up by a jet of air from the ejector nozzle 2, so the total velocity of the mixture of air with flux increases significantly.
With the passage of jets through a gradually widening cone 5 speed it is reduced gradually, and after entering the tank tangentially 7 the curved pipe 6 speed dramatically falls. The result is a separation of the mixture, ie, the particle flux is no longer held by the air and fall to the bottom of the hopper and the air, freed from the flux emitted into the surrounding atmosphere. To improve the separation of flux in the lid of the hopper 8 is installed in a cyclone open the bottom of a truncated cone, causing turbulence and a sharp change in direction of air flow, which improves the separation of the particles flux. The outlet 9 is closed cyclone cap 10 of filter material, delaying the dust is not deposited in the hopper, and purifying the air discharged from the flux equipment. 7 In the bunker there is a small air pressure, so when you open the valve on the pipe begins flux flow into the seam at the same time with the ejector suction flux through the hose 3.
Normal flux equipment can suck up to 500 l / h flux at the maximum suction lift up to 4 m; compressed air consumption, reduced to atmospheric pressure of 20-50 mA / h, depending on the performance flux equipment and suction. Flyusoapparaty may be mobile or stationary and can be installed separately from the machine, or mounted with a machine gun. In Fig. shown with automatic brakes mounted on it flux equipment.
