In the summer of 2011 Ryazan State Instrument-Making Plant (MAKING) started mass production of welding machines DC FORSAZh-502. According to the manufacturer, is the most powerful Russian welding inverter for industrial manual and semiautomatic welding at the time of release.

Model features:
  • semi-automatic mode (MIG / MAG) and manual metal arc (MMA) welding, the ability to use as a power source for TIG welding (TIG);
  • semi-automatic mode - welding with solid or flux cored wire diameter 0.8-1.6 mm;
  • mode MMA - welding with coated electrodes with diameter 1,6-5,0 mm;
  • protection against overload, overheating in the accident;
  • qualitative formation of joints;
  • as a power source apparatus can be used stand-alone portable power station for at least 30 kV · A.
Semi-automatic is available in two versions: Basic and Advanced.

The company Lincoln Electric introduced the Circulator - total filtration system designed to extract and filtration of welding fumes in the workplace. Novelty is an alternative to ventilation (push-pull) and is perfect for areas with obstructions to accommodate ductwork - with overhead cranes and complex infrastructure. Complements the natural and / or mechanical ventilation in the shop.

Circulator system consists of four main components:
  • Management System Green-Drive;
  • filter unit;
  • fan;
  • circulator with six multi-directional outlet nozzles.

For the organization of an optimal air flow output of the circulator nozzle can be rotated by up to 35 °. The position of the circulator is directly dependent on the height of the layer of welding fumes. The best results are achieved when it is placed within this layer. It is also possible the location of the circulator is directly beneath the smoke.

Specifications of Circulator:
  • voltage - 380-480 / £ 3. / 50-60 Hz;
  • air flow - 170 m 3 ;
  • maximum power consumption of the fan - 7.5 kW (10 hp..)
  • Operating Temperature - 20 to 45 ° C;
  • Dimensions (height x width x depth) - 5245 x 1200 x 2438 mm;
  • weight - 800 kg.

Concern ESAB has released a new cored wire Coreweld 46 LS , designed for welding of thin sheet steel with a thickness of 1 mm. Compared with the wire of solid section, designed for semi-automatic welding (MAG), the novelty has many advantages:
  • provides better speed and welding;
  • absence or very low levels of silica SiO 2 on the surface of the weld, and the minimum spray facilitate the cleaning process after welding before coating or drawing;
  • arc with spray metal begins with a lower current (160 A);
  • less deformation products, as extremely low arc voltage and high welding speed results in less heat input specific;
  • excellent welding gap is less than the quality requirements of the joint assembly.
