In China, mastered underwater welding at a depth of 200 meters. Employees of the Institute of Marine units at the Academy of Sciences of Shandong Province (East China), developed in the light of foreign experience of its own technology for deep welding and related equipment. The Institute plans to build an industrial center for the production of underwater welding equipment, which will annually produce 500 tons of powder wire, 400 tons of welding electrodes, electrodes for 400 tonnes of underwater cutting, 500 sets of equipment for underwater welding and cutting, as well as 10 sets of equipment for automatic underwater welding titanium alloys.

New from Lincoln Electric: welder SAE-300 with a DC generator, designed for welding of pipes, construction and repair.
One of the features of the unit is to use a double continuous control of output parameters for manual arc welding. Two rotary switches on the control panel allow you to fine-tune the voltage and current. When you configure the switch left "rough talk" changes the slope of the voltage-current characteristics. When you configure the switch right "Accurate current and open circuit voltage" (before or during welding), a shifting of values of voltage and current. Various combinations of the provisions of both the switches enable us to obtain these or other output parameters.
Features welder Lincoln Electric SAE-300:
- processes - manual metal-arc welding (MMA), tungsten arc welding (TIG), gouging, with a feeder wire - semi-automatic welding (MIG), flux-cored wire welding;
- the use of electrodes with a diameter of 5.6 mm makes Fleetweld 5P, Fleetweld 5P +, Pipeliner, and Excalibur;
- the possibility of arc gouging carbon electrodes with a diameter up to 6.3 mm;
- the use of copper windings to increase the stability of the arc, reliability and service life;
- DC output range - 50-390 A;
- Output Current / Duty Cycle
