Consulting company "AMICO" has developed a marketing study "the Russian market of welding equipment," according to which the Russian production of welding equipment in 2009 were distributed by Federal Districts as follows:

• The Central Federal District (FD) - 20,148 units, 56% of Russian manufactured welding equipment;
• Northwest Federal District - 10 800 units, 30%;
• Urals Federal District - 2900 units, 8%;
• Southern FD - 1000, 3%;
• Volga FD - 900 units, 2.5%;
• The Siberian Federal District - 200 units, 0.56%;
• Russia's total production of welding equipment in 2009 -
• 36,000 units.

In this case:

• leading region in terms of production - Tula, Arkhangelsk, Smolensk;
• 60% of Russian production accounted for JSC "appliance" (Novomoskovsk, Tula region) and the "Plant of welding equipment," Kavik "(Safonovo, Smolensk region).
